Privacy policy
Last updated 2026-09-25. This policy covers the Zenvelope app for iPhone, iPad and Mac, made by Jakub Jirák (“we”). Contact: support@jakubjirak.com.
In short
We do not collect, receive or store any of your data. Zenvelope has no servers of ours, no analytics, no advertising and no AI. Your mail goes directly between your device and your own mail provider.
What stays on your device
Zenvelope keeps a copy of your mail (messages, attachments, folders and flags), your drafts and unsent messages, and your app settings on your device, protected by the operating system. Deleting mail on the server or in Zenvelope removes it from the device at the next update; removing an account deletes its copy.
What is synced through your own iCloud
If you turn on settings sync, your account settings (names, addresses, server settings, signatures, smart folders, templates, the list of senders whose images you allow) are stored in your private iCloud database, which only your Apple Account can read. Passwords and sign-in tokens are stored in your iCloud Keychain, separately. We cannot access either.

Calendar and notifications
Calendar access is optional and used on your device only, to show your events and answer invitations. New-mail notifications are optional and created on your device; nothing is sent to a push service.
Children
Zenvelope is a general-purpose email app and does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children.
Your choices
You can turn off settings sync, calendar access and notifications at any time, remove accounts, and delete the app (which deletes everything stored on the device). To delete synced settings, turn off sync and remove the accounts, or delete Zenvelope's data in iCloud settings on your device.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be published here with a new date.
